MIDDLE SCHOOL SUMMER READING, 2020
EVERY STUDENT SHOULD READ A BOOK ON THE MS COMMUNITY READ LIST AND COMPLETE A BINGO BOARD.
SUMMER READING BINGO
Click here for the BINGO board!
Students need to read 4-5 books with the goal of getting BINGO - horizontally, vertically or diagonally.
Challenge: Students who 'cover' the entire board by reading something for every category/space on the board become part of a raffle in the fall.
MIDDLE SCHOOLCOMMUNITY READ
We will begin the school year with Middle School students and teachers engaging in conversations and activities around friendship and understanding.
Every rising 5th grader and rising 6th grader should read at least ONE of the titles from the list below. We encourage students to choose a title that is new to them and to read the book closer to the start of school.
Use Mrs. Lansdale’s Libguides (see blue tabs above to access books published in the last year) and reading lists on the school library page to find recommended titles. You can also take advantage of your Public Library Summer Reading Programs, where books , audiobooks and e-books are available for free.
It’s summer.
These books should only be the beginning!
Go the library page for other great choices.
Read! Read! Read!
Summer is a great time to read, so read as much as you can. It is important to also read a variety of enjoyable books over the summer.
We look forward to seeing you in September. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy your summer reading and your summer vacation.
